Confidential and supportive critical friendship and guidance
Everyone needs a safe space to reflect on their career direction, their impact and effectiveness, and the fulfilment of their role. Whether that is a one-off health check, or a structured series of conversations, I have been offering that safe space to hundreds of clients since 2002.
I am also experienced at supporting people who are experiencing enforced career change through redundancy, voluntary severance, or geographical relocation.
My specialisms in careers advice and guidance include working with:
- young professionals in their late 20s and early 30s who are reviewing their career choices
- mid-career professionals to explore career change and transition to semi-retirement
- PhDs, academics and researchers to build career strategy or understand their wider employability within and beyond higher education and research sectors
I also act as a confidential mentor to a number of Heads of university Careers Services around the world, providing enabling critical friendship and a supportive challenge function for strategic planning, as well as on developing career paths within and beyond higher education.
I am honoured to have been a Sponsor for Advance HE’s Diversifying Leadership programme, and a mentor for Advance HE’s Aurora programme. I am also a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I am also honoured to be a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
