Reflection & Mentoring

Confidential and supportive critical friendship and guidance

Everyone needs a safe space to reflect on their career direction, their impact and effectiveness, and the fulfilment of their role. Whether that is a one-off health check, or a structured series of conversations, I have been offering that safe space to hundreds of clients since 2002.

My specialisms in careers advice and guidance include working with mid-career professionals to explore career change and transition to semi-retirement, and with PhDs and academic researchers to understand their wider employability within and beyond higher education and research sectors.

I also act as a confidential mentor to a number of Heads of university Careers services, sharing my experiences and offering enabling critical friendship, including on developing career paths within and beyond higher education.

I am honoured to have been a Sponsor for Advance HE’s Diversifying Leadership programme, and a mentor for Advance HE’s Aurora programme. I am also a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I am also honoured to be a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

If you would like me to work with you as a reflective partner or mentor, please visit the Contact page and send me an email. I am a Registered Professional with the Career Development Institute.
